LOCKING SYSTEM AND RADIO COMMUNICATION INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking system and a radio communication instrument which can prevent a control device from performing erroneous control by prohibiting transmission of a response signal from a radio communication instrument on the basis of a predetermined condition.SOLUTION: A body ECU 3 mounted on a vehicle 1 and a portable radio key 2 perform radio communication. The body ECU 3 transmits an inquiry signal and the radio key 2 performs predetermined processing and transmits a response signal in response to the inquiry signal when receiving the inquiry signal. The body ECU 3 receives the response signal transmitted by the radio key 2 and performs locking or unlocking operation of a door installed on the vehicle 1. A locking system performs control relevant to transmission of the response signal or permission thereof in communication ranges 11 of the inquiry signal transmitted by the body ECU 3 on the basis of receiving sensitivity of the radio key 2 when receiving the inquiry signal.
