PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed change gear of a mechanical automatic transmission in which a speed change feeling is improved by adjusting a shift, a select operation and a speed, reducing gear-shift shock during changing a speed, and reducing a speed change time. ! SOLUTION: A speed change gear of a mechanical automatic transmission comprises: a change lever unit 7 for instructing a speed change; a gear shift unit 5 for performing a speed change operation; an FCTMECU 11 for controlling the speed change operation based on speed change instruction signals from the change lever unit 7; and a drive unit 8 for actuating the gear shift unit 5 based on control signals from the FCTMECU 11. The FCTMECU 11 changes an output current to a speed change operation driving motor of the gear shift unit 5 from the drive unit 8, based on a shift stroke amount of the gear shift unit 5. !
