PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent catching of a rope in a mounting arm with a simple configuration without attaching a protective wire or the like for preventing that the rope catches in the mounting arm to drastically reduce component costs and installation man-hours.SOLUTION: An elevator includes: a rope 2 wound around a sheave; a car 3 vertically moving inside a hoistway 1 interlockingly with the rope 2 moving according to rotation of the sheave; and a landing plate 9 fixed to a rail 5 through a mounting arm 6. The mounting arm 6 comprises: a first arm part 6a; and a second arm part 6b connected to the first arm part 6a through a hinge 7. When a part of the linear rope 2 is displaced between a wall face of the hoistway 1 and the mounting arm 6, the mounting arm 6 is bent to the car 3 side with the hinge 7 as a basic point by resilience of the rope 2 trying to be restored to a linear state. |
