PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform incoming call control corresponding to a reception mode in the case where voice INVITE signals having a possibility of a telephone conversation purpose are received in two sessions at the same time although a general communication device has only one SLIC.SOLUTION: An image communication device and its control method are able to perform telephone conversation and facsimile communication via a P network. The image communication device includes at least two modems and a SLIC connected with a telephone. When the image communication device receives an INVITE signal whose media type is voice, the image communication device determines whether it is possible to establish a session. In the case where it is possible to establish a session in an automatic reception mode, the image communication device performs control to select an available modem from the at least two modems, and perform assumed voice communication by means of the selected modem. When it is determined that it is possible to establish a session, the image communication device determines whether the SLIC is being used, and performs control to call out the telephone by the SLIC when the SLIC is not being used. |
