The present invention provides an optical structure used for distributing light from a light source of a direct type LED backlight unit instead of an optical lens. The optical structure is installed to be located on an LED package in the direct LED backlight unit. The optical structure has a convex shape toward the light emitting surface of the LED package and includes a body part with a reflection surface formed by the convex surface toward the light emitting surface and one or more leg parts which are formed around the body part to support the body part to be separated from the LED package.
