<p>A swing apparatus (1) includes a body (10) adapted to accommodate a wheelchair. The body (10) is formed from moulded plastic and is suspended from a frame structure (2) for reciprocating motion by means of two pairs of substantially parallel arms (11a, 1 lb). One embodiment includes a first ramp member (41) attached to the body and a second ramp member (43) adapted to be attached to the ground. The ramp members are adapted to combine to form a ramp so as to enable wheelchair access to the body. Another embodiment includes a collapsible seating assembly mounted within the body comprising a pair of first members which are pivotally connected to opposing inner side walls of the body and rotatable between a substantially vertical position for storage and a substantially horizontal position for providing supporting surfaces to support a user of the swing in a seated position.</p> |
