The present invention provides an input device (1) for allowing an operator to perform a three-dimensional input operation intuitively and easily. The input device (1) is provided with: an operation part (3) capable of acting on a body part (2); an X-axis detection means (4) for detecting an action of the operation part (3) on the body part (2) in an X-axis direction; a Y-axis detection means (5) for detecting an action of the operation part (3) on the body part (2) in a Y-axis direction orthogonal to the X-axis direction; and a Z-axis detection means (6) for detecting an action of the operation part (3) on the body part (2) in a Z-axis direction orthogonal to the X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction, the operation part (3) being provided with a base part (10) on which the operator places his thumb (T), a cover part (11) for covering the thumb and located at the top of the base part (10), and a front wall part (12) which is a wall part located at the front of the cover part (11). |
