A water treatment system (10) comprising a water mixing unit (50) adapted to promote water turbulence, an input line (12) having an upstream end adapted to be in fluid communication with a body of water to be treated, and a downstream end in fluid communication with the water mixing unit (50). The system (10) includes an ozone injector (30) adapted to be connected in fluid communication with an ozone gas generation system (20). A branching line (16) is in fluid communication with the input line (12) and the ozone injector (30) and an ozone supply line (32) is in fluid communication with the ozone injector (30) and the input line (12). A bypass control valve (14) is in fluid communication with the ozone supply line (32) and the water input line (12) and is adapted to be selectively switched between an open position and a closed position, wherein water is prevented from flowing through the branching fine (16) and the ozone supply line (32) when the bypass control valve (14) is in the closed position. |
