A three-dimensional porous structure made of fragments of a nanofibre web is provided. Furthermore, a method for producing a three-dimensional porous structure from nanofibre web fragments is proposed. The three-dimensional porous structure is employed for example in medicine, preferably in regenerative medicine. Furthermore, the structure according to the invention that is made of fragments of a nanofibre web can be used in vitro and in vivo for the treatment of tissue damage, for immobilizing biological cells, for constructing biological tissue and as a a biological filler.
