A conveyor belt (11) is configured by linking a plurality of chain links (15) disposed in the direction of transport (X). A plurality of recesses (15A) and a first hinge (21) projecting from a region sandwiching the recesses (15A) in the transport direction are formed in the chain links (15). A section containing the first hinge (21) and a bulging section (30) deforms and rotates about the exterior end of the first hinge (21) when a force is applied to the first hinge (21) by something contacting the exterior end of the conveyor belt (11). By virtue of the present invention, the distance from the application point where the force is applied to the conveyor belt (11) to the center of rotation of the first hinge (21) and the bulging section (30) can be set to be comparatively small.
