The present invention provides a connector which is capable of being assembled with improved work efficiency and which is capable of being fitted to a counter-connector without difficulty. A connector (1) is provided with a terminal fitting and a housing (2) which houses the terminal fitting. The housing has a first housing (4) and a second housing (5) which is mounted to the first housing. The first housing is provided with a base section (40) and a pair of terminal holding sections (63, 64) which is formed protruding from the base section in the connector fitting direction, is provided separated from each other, and holds the terminal fitting while gripping the terminal fitting between the pair of terminal holding sections (63, 64). The second housing is provided with a wall (56) provided adjacent to at least one of the pair of terminal holding sections such that the wall (56) is separated from the at least one of the pair of terminal holding sections in the direction of separation of the pair, and one (63) of the pair of terminal holding sections is provided with a reinforcement rib (67) which is provided protruding toward the wall and which reinforces the one of the pair of terminal holding sections. |
