The invention relates to an optoelectronic component. Said optoelectronic component comprises a layer sequence having an active layer, which during the operation of the component emits electromagnetic primary radiation, and at least one conversion element arranged in the beam path of the electromagnetic primary radiation. The at least one conversion element comprises converter particles and a binder material, wherein the converter particles are distributed in the binder material, and the converter particles convert the electromagnetic primary radiation to an electromagnetic secondary radiation, at least partially. The binder material is made of a salt of the general formulae (I) or (II), or of a mixture of different salts of the general formula (I) or of the general formula (II), or of a mixture of different salts of the general formulae (I) and (II).
