<p> The present invention addresses the problem of providing an organic EL element that is highly flexible and in which a variety of colors can be obtained for a non-emission region or while light is not being emitted, as well as a method for manufacturing the same. The organic EL element (1) has: a sealing member (105); and a laminated article (13) obtained by laminating at least a transparent substrate (2), a first transparent electrode (4), an organic layer (6), and a second transparent electrode (12) in the stated order, wherein the organic EL element is characterized in that at least a part of the sealing member (105) is colored, the sealing member (105) has at least a sealing substrate (105a) and an adhesive layer (105b), and the sealing substrate (105a) is laminated on the second-transparent-electrode (12)-side surface of the laminated article (13) with the adhesive layer (105b) interposed therebetween, whereby the laminated article (13) is sealed by the sealing member (105).</p> |
