Clips and holders for cables and conductors.- A clip for securing cables in a casing cornprises two members adapted to engage the casing walls and a spring member which forces the two members into. engagement with the casing walls. As shown in Fig. 1. the clip comprises a base A, sides A<1> with beadings A<2> to engage internal grooves in the casing, and a spring extension A<3> of one, side adapted to snap into the beading A<2> as shown in Fig. 2, to hold the clip in position in the casing. In modified constructions, the spring member is made separate from the clip sides, and slips into grooves forming the beadings on the sides; or, the spring member may be hinged to one of the clip sides. Fig. 6 shows a cable conduit E with internal grooves E<1> engaged by beadings F<1> on a clip F. In a further construction, the base of the clip, formed separately, is secured to a wall, the main part of the clip being slipped over the cable which is positioned on the base. The clip may comprise an oval metal strip with a groove at one end into which the other strip end is sprung after mounting the cable. |
