The present invention relates to a vise to prevent damage to a workpiece for a machine tool which can firmly and stably fixate the workpiece by preventing the workpiece from being elevated by tightening force of the vise in a process of fixing the workpiece. The vise according to the present invention comprises: a fixing clamp (10) forming a fixing inclined surface (11) on one side; an operating clamp (20) forming an operating inclined surface (21) contacting the fixing inclined surface (11), and forming a protruded guiding hole (24) in a lower part; a side fixing board (30) forming a key groove (33) wherein a key (23) is coupled thereto; and a protruding device (40) installed in the protruded guiding hole (24), and having a protruded pin (42) protruded at a front end of a lower part pf the operating clamp (20). |
