The present invention relates to a binder resin composition, a porous separator including the same, and an electrochemical element using the same. According to a binder resin composition of an example of the present invention, provided is a separator for an electrochemical element which has excellent electrolyte resistance and excellent mechanical and/or thermal stability in order to have excellent reliability for internal short. In an example, the electrochemical element can be a lithium ion battery.
