ANTIBODIES CROSS-REACTIVE TO HUMAN AND MOUSE C-MET AND USES THEREOF

An antibody of the present invention has high specificity to human c-Met, and also has cross-binding ability to mouse c-Met. The antibody of the present invention or an antigen binding fragment thereof can specifically bind to mouse c-Met as well as human c-Met, thereby verifying more accurate preclinical results in the efficacy evaluation using a mouse tumor model. The antibody of the present invention suppresses the growth of cancer cells derived from various cancers due to high anti-c-Met binding and the accompanying inhibition on c-Met function, and inhibits the phosphorylation of c-Met and a downstream signaling molecules, thereby inhibiting c-Met signaling and neovascularization, and thus is very effective in the prevention and treatment of cancers.
