<p>The present invention relates to a light emitting diode (LED) converter supplying rated power for turning on an LED and, more particularly, to a an LED dimming converter having a two-step dimming function to adjust brightness of an LED by two stages depending on whether an object is recognized or not in an underground parking lot, a market, an entrance, and the like, such that the LED is smoothly and gradually brightened or darkened, providing a fading function to reduce impact on the iris and optic nerve of people therearound, and to invert a dimming command signal input from an existing sensor switch and buffer the same, by using the existing sensor switch as is so that dimming control is possible. The LED dimming converter having a two-step dimming function comprises a rectifying unit rectifying input power; a transformer transforming pulsating wave power output from the rectifying unit; a DC unit changing output power from the transformer into a DC and supplying the DC to an LED; a power factor improving pulse width modulation (PWM) unit controlling switching of the transformer in a PWM manner to supply a constant current to the LED, and improving a power factor; a dimming control unit transmitting a dimming control signal for adjusting intensity of illumination of the LED to the power factor improving PWM unit; and a dimming interface unit buffering a dimming command signal input from the outside and transmitting the same to the dimming control unit, wherein the dimming interface unit includes a fading unit which serves to make the dimming command signal input from the outside continuously increased or decreased so as to be buffered.</p> |
