摘要 <p>Disclosed are a start motor control apparatus and a method thereof. The start motor control apparatus according to the present invention includes: a key signal receiving unit for receiving a key state signal of a vehicle; a transmission signal receiving unit for receiving and outputting a transmission state signal; an engine signal receiving unit for receiving and outputting an engine state signal; and a body signal receiving unit for receiving and outputting a vehicle body state signal, wherein the key signal receiving unit can be connected to both of a smart key processing module and a general key processing module, and the transmission signal receiving unit can be connected to both of a manual transmission processing module and an automated transmission processing module. Moreover, the engine signal receiving unit for receiving and outputting the engine state signal and the body signal receiving unit for receiving and outputting the vehicle body state signal are respectively connected with an ECU and body load modules which investigate whether or not an engine and a body load state of the vehicle are suitable for operating a start motor through a controller area network (CAN) to receive state signals, which indicate whether conditions are appropriate to start the vehicle, from the modules. Therefore, the start motor control apparatus according to the present invention can prevent deterioration in design quality due to individual designs of start motor control circuits because the start motor control apparatus can be installed to vehicles of all kinds regardless of kinds and options of the vehicles, and prevent defect of wiring so as to improve quality of the vehicle because complicated circuit wiring to apply various start motor control circuits becomes simple.</p>
