PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and reliably prevent generation of scale and red rust.SOLUTION: A cooling tower system comprises: a heat exchanger; a cooling tower; a water storage tank; and a magnetizing device 7 arranged inside the water storage tank. Magnets are arranged on magnetizing units 21 and 31 of the magnetizing device 7 and a cooling water passage is formed in a region where a magnetic field is generated by the magnets. The cooling water is ionized (O,OH) by the magnetic field when the same is pumped and sent to the magnetizing units 21 and 31 by a pump 11 and thereby allowing a scale component in the cooling water to be separate and precipitated. The ionized water is discharged from the magnetizing device 7 into the water storage tank and then supplied to the cooling tower. By circulating the ionized water in a circulation passage including the heat exchanger and the cooling tower, ions (O,OH) remove scale attached to piping and prevent generation of red rust. |
