<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To steplessly adjust a balance ratio of a mechanical seal according to an operating condition in a medium delivering device such as a rotary joint.SOLUTION: A device including at least one mechanical seal which is disposed between a rotary component composed of a mechanical seal ring (7) and a counter ring (9) combined with the mechanical seal ring to form a seal end face, and a component of a fixed position, to allow a medium (4) to flow therein, includes a control portion for adjusting an axial position of at least one of the mechanical seal ring (7) and the counter ring (9)according to environment condition, operation condition or operation parameter. Thus a contact pressure acting between the mechanical seal ring (7) and the counter ring (9) is adjusted. The control portion is disposed on a place of a sleeve (12) in which the medium (4) passes to flow.</p> |
