The present invention relates to a composition containing a natural composite of fucoxanthin, Cortex ulmi pumilae, and low-molecular weight alginate, as an active ingredient, for preventing or treating obesity. The natural composite of fucoxanthin, Cortex ulmi pumilae, and low-molecular weight alginate according to the present invention has excellent obesity treatment effects, such as reduction of body weight and fat weight, lowering dietary efficiency, and improving blood lipid metabolism without hepatotoxicity, and thus can be useful to prevent or treat obesity.
