Disclosed is a mobile robot system for reducing overhead and cost related to map creation. A mobile robot adds an ID for identifying a usage location or a user of the mobile robot to measurement information and transmits the same to a map generation device through a network. The map generation device receives the measurement information and the ID that have been transmitted through the network, identifies the usage location or user of the mobile robot that has acquired the measurement information, obtains movement parameters of the mobile robot from the measurement information and a map that is being created, synthesizes and creates a map from the measurement information on the basis of the movement parameters, displays the map that is being created, receives a command for correcting or completing correction of the map from an operator, corrects the map on the basis of the command, and transmits the created map to the mobile robot through the network. |
