A printing apparatus 1 comprises: a continuous belt 10; a printer station 20 to transfer an image onto the belt 10 and a transfer station 30 to transfer an image from the belt 10 to a surface of an object X. The belt 10 circulates through the apparatus 1; adjustment means 50, 60 are provided that allow the belt 10 to pass through the printer station 20 and transfer station 30 at different speeds; the adjustment means 50, 60 are loops of belt that may be monitored by optical sensors 51, 61. The apparatus preferably includes a restoration station 40 that cleans the belt 10 before an image is applied to the belt 10; the belt may be a Mobius strip. |
