PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of being manufactured at a low manufacturing cost, and offering a high packing density of graphite and stable quality.SOLUTION: The negative electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a negative electrode collector, and a negative electrode active material layer on the negative electrode collector. The negative electrode active material layer contains graphite composed of flaky graphite and granular graphite, and a binder, and the negative electrode active material layer has a packing density of graphite of 0.95 to 1.19 g/cm, a porosity of 37.0 to 45%, and an average pore size of 1 to 1.2 μm. |
