A method for manufacturing an electricity storage device electrode comprises: an applying step of applying an active material mixture on at least one surface of a strip-shaped metal foil; a take-up step of taking up the metal foil on which the active material mixture is applied onto a take-up reel to form a metal foil layer around the take-up reel; and a drying step of drying the active material mixture applied to the metal foil while the metal foil is wound on the take-up reel. The length of the metal foil to be taken up onto the take-up reel in the take-up step is set so that, after the completion of the drying step, a remaining moisture content at the thickness direction center of the metal foil layer formed around the take-up reel is a preset amount or less and is less than or equal to two times the remaining moisture content at the thickness direction end portion of the metal foil layer.
