<p>The present invention relates to a drag reduction device for a ship, which comprises: a main body which is fixated to the lower part of a transom in a ship in order to rotate; and a hydraulic cylinder whose one end is fixated to the main body in order to rotate, and whose the other end is fixated to the lower part of the transom in order to rotate. The hydraulic cylinder can freely regulate the length of the ship by selectively rotating the main body at a fixed angle according to the speed of the ship in order to fold or unfold a drag reduction device at the back surface of the transom, thereby berthing at a port with a limited length, and can reduce not only frictional drag but also wave drag by folding or unfolding the drag reduction device according to the speed of the ship.</p> |
