<p>Disclosed are a family of mGluR 2/3 receptor antagonists with the general formal as shown in the abstract image and wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are as disclosed within the specification. These 4-substituted-3-phenylsulfanylmethyl-bicyclo[3.1.0]hexane compounds can be used for the treatment of depressive disorders and excessive sleepiness. Example compounds include: (1S,2R,3S,4S,5R,6R)-2-amino-3-{ [(3,4-difluorophenyl)sulfanyl]methyl} -4-hydroxybicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, bis({ [(1-methylethoxy)carbonyl]oxy} methyl) (1S,2R,3S,4S,5R,6R)-2-amino-3-{ [(3,4-difluorophenyl)sulfanyl]methyl} -4-hydroxybicyclo[3.1.0] hexane-2,6-dicarboxylate (1S,2R,3S,4S,5R,6R)-2-amino-3-{ [(3-chloro-4-fluorophenyl)sulfanyl]methy} -4-hydroxybicyclo[3.1.0] hexane-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, bis({ [(1-methylethoxy)carbonyl]oxy} methyl) (1S,2R,3S,4S,5R,6R)-2-amino-3-{ [(3-chloro-4-fluorophenyl)sulfanyl]methyl} -4-hydroxybicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-2,6-dicarboxylate.</p> |
