<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Al-containing ferritic stainless steel which has both of extremely excellent oxidation resistance when having been used for a solid oxide fuel cell for a long period of time and electric conductivity at high temperature, by specifying components and the range of Ti/Al in the steel. <P>SOLUTION: The stainless steel includes by mass%, 0.02% or less C, 1% or less Si, 0.5% or less Mn, 0.035% or less P, 0.003% or less S, 15.5-30% Cr, 0.5-6% Al, 0.18-1% Ti, 0.02% or less N so that Ti/Al satisfies 0.05-0.6, and the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities. The stainless steel may contain one or more elements of Nb, V, Mo, Ni, Cu, B, Mg and Ca as selective elements.
