The present invention relates to a system for allowing a calling party to switch a called party ring sound and a method thereof. An objective of the present invention is to provide a system for allowing a calling party to switch a called party ring sound, in which an application is installed to a called party terminal and a calling party terminal, respectively. The application transmits a voice or text message to each called party. When the called party terminal receives the message, the application allows the called party terminal to automatically set a ring sound corresponding to the message such that the set ring sound is outputted when the called party terminal is called. Thus, when the calling party calls the called party for the purpose of voice communication or text message transmission, the called party terminal outputs the ring sound set through the message transmitted from the calling party.
