FIELD: machine building.SUBSTANCE: proposed process comprises tool to heating to quenching temperature, holding, cooling down to ambient temperature and tempering. After heating to quenching temperature and holding thereat, the tool is cooled in salt bath at 810-860°C with holding for 1.9-2.0 s/mm but not over 1 minute. Further cooling to ambient temperature of tool with working part diameter not over 20 mm is executed in air while in the case of tool with working tool diameter over 20 mm cooling is performed in fluid. Then, tool cooled in air to ambient temperature.EFFECT: reduced quenching strain, ruled out bucking, decreased cracking, enhanced performances. |
