The method comprises: filling a housing of the piece (10) with an abradable material (50) consisting of particles using the technique of cold spraying at supersonic speed at a temperature (T1) that is lower than 150[deg] C; heating the abradable material at a temperature (T2) that is greater than 150[deg] C and maintaining the abradable material at the temperature (T2) until sintering occurs between the particles of the abradable material; and lowering the temperature to room temperature. The method further comprises machining the surface of the material at the opening. The method further comprises machining the surface of the abradable material at the opening such that the surface is located in an extension of the free surface (15) of the workpiece after machining. The heating step comprises applying pressure on the abradable material so as to compact the material. The temperature (T2) is greater than the temperature at which a maximum porosity of the abradable material is absorbed. The filling step comprises filling the housing with a set of layers of abradable material.
|
