<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that uses an electrostatic latent image and performs accurate color shift correction control.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: image forming means including a photoreceptor that is driven to rotate, scanning means for scanning the photoreceptor with light to form an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor, and process means for acting on the photoreceptor for image formation; forming means for forming an electrostatic latent image for correction for color shift correction on the photoreceptor; power source means corresponding to the process means; detection means for detecting the output of the power source means when the electrostatic latent image for correction formed on the photoreceptor passes through an opposing position to the process means; and control means for performing color shift correction control on the basis of a result of the detection by the detection means. The control means controls a current supplied to the scanning means on the basis of a result of the detection by the detection means.</p> |
