Acoustic Shield and Support Adapter

Abstract An acoustic shield, for example for use by a musician playing in an orchestra, includes a rigid core with sound attenuating material covering opposed sides thereof. An adapter is provided fast with the rigid core for mounting of the shield. A fabric cover is located over the sound attenuating material. The adapter comprises a tubular body with a threaded entry to receive a threaded member for ingress into the tubular body whereby the threaded member cooperates with one or more internal sides of the tubular body to thereby hold a shaft of a mounting stand in place.
