PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace damper preventing increase of stiffening force while allowing increase of longitudinal strength.SOLUTION: A brace damper 1 includes: at lease two core materials 10, 20 which are sheet-like, have smaller cross sections orthogonal in the longitudinal direction F in the center portions in the longitudinal direction than their respective ends 10a, 20a in the longitudinal direction, have the center portions formed in the same shape as each other and overlapped in their thickness directions; a pair of holding members 31, 32 disposed so as to hold the center portions of the at least two core materials in the thickness direction D; and a pair of connecting members 33, 34 which fix the ends in the width direction E of the at least two core materials in the pair of holding members over the at least two core materials to each other and fix the other ends in the width direction over the at least two core materials to each other. The ends in the longitudinal direction of the at least two core materials are fixed to each other and the other ends in the longitudinal direction are fixed to each other. |
