PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a compact cylinder device with a booster mechanism.SOLUTION: An output rod (2) is inserted into a housing (1) movably in a vertical direction, and a first piston (21) is connected to the output rod (2). A second piston (22) is inserted into the housing (1) movably in the vertical direction at the outside in a radial direction of the output rod (2). Vertical force working on the second piston (22) is boosted and converted by a booster mechanism (36), and is transmitted to a transmitting part (37) of the output rod (2). A wedge space (39) which becomes narrower inward in the radial direction is formed between the transmitting part (37) and a receiving part (38) provided in the housing (1) when boost-drive is started. An engagement ball (40) is abutted to an outer peripheral surface of the output rod (2) except for the transmitting part (37) before boost-drive is started. The engagement ball (40) is pushed out to the wedge space (39) by the second piston (22) when boost-drive is started. |
