An objective of the present invention is to provide an electric connector having a guide metal member for guiding a mating connector when the electrical connector is connected to the mating connector to improve wear resistance and strength of the guide metal member. A guide metal member (30) is made by bending sheet metal member in a sheet thickness direction thereof. A plate surface of the guide metal member (30) is attached to face a corresponding wall of a circumferential wall (13) of a housing (10). The guide metal member (30) includes: an attached part (31) attached to an attachment part (14B) which is formed at ends of a pair of sidewalls; and a connector (33) to connect the attached parts to each other. The attached part (31) has an inverse U-shape, which is formed by an upper surface of the attachment part (14B) in upward direction, and includes a guide surface to form a slope surface in a top surface (31C). The connector (33) is located along a receiving inner surface of an end wall or a bottom wall. The connector (33) slidably makes contact with a relative connector in a guide surface of the attached part to guide a mating connector. |
