<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress discomfort arising from an illusion of a user.SOLUTION: All pixels of an image sensor 20 are composed of sets of a first phase difference pixel 35 and a second phase difference pixel 36. On the basis of output signals from the first and second phase difference pixels 35 and 36 included in a center area of an imaging plane 20a of the image sensor 20, R and L focus detection image data are generated. On the basis of the R and L focus detection image data, focusing detection is performed by a phase difference method, and on the basis of a result of the focusing detection, an AF process is executed. Upon displaying a live view image, when a focused in-focus subject changes from a subject B positioned on a front side to a subject A positioned on a depth side, a zoom lens 14 is moved to a telephoto-end side to increase a zoom power. To the contrary, when the focused in-focus subject changes from the subject A to the subject B, the zoom lens 14 is moved to a wide-end side to reduce the zoom power.</p> |
