The invention provides a camera platform for supporting at least one camera person, the platform 1 (figure1) comprising: a frame (2); and a backrest 35 by which the camera person may be supported or secured to the frame, wherein the backrest has an electromagnet 36 arranged to releasably engage with a magnet or magnetic material secured to the camera person. The magnetic backrest permits a camera person to be easily and smoothly secured to and released from the platform 1. The invention may have particular application to a camera rickshaw, where said rickshaw has: two wheels (5b), each with a separate axle; a footplate located between the wheels and below the level of the axles; and a handle attached to the frame by which the rickshaw can be balanced and manoeuvred by an operator. Each axle may be provided with an axle block which can be mounted with different orientations so that the position of the wheel relative to the frame is different. In this way the ground clearance or wheel base can be altered. |
