<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper conveying device capable of preventing defective conveyance. <P>SOLUTION: The paper conveying device 130 clamps and conveys paper P, by the first conveying roller 21 supported by the first rotary shaft 20, and the second conveying roller 31 supported by the second rotary shaft 30 in parallel to the first rotary shaft 20. The paper conveying device 130 includes a connecting member 32 arranged along the second rotary shaft 30 and connected to the second conveying roller 31, and a paper pressing member 33 supported by the connecting member 32 and swung with respect to the first rotary shaft 20.
