PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control type drain plug device which has a simple structure, and can be simply and easily operated by a rotary knob. SOLUTION: An operation part 71 is composed of a rotary knob and a crown-shaped case 2 in which the rotary knob is loaded. The rotary knob is formed with an inner gear 3 and a limit stopper part at lower end of the rotary knob. A pinion 5 engaged with the inner gear 3 of the rotary knob and a locking protrusion 6 for limit-locking rotations of the rotary knob are provided in the crown-shaped case 2. The crown-shaped case 2 also has a pushing/pulling shaft 7 which is pushed outward from a center of the crown-shaped case 2 and pulled in by the rotations of the rotary knob. On a pushing/pulling side surface, a rack 8 is formed to engage with the pinion 5. A guide pipe for guiding the pushing/pulling shaft 7 to appear and disappear is formed on an outer periphery of the crown-shaped case. The pushing/pulling shaft 7 is made to appear and disappear by the rotations of the rotary knob, and lifting and lowering of a drain plug by an actuating portion 72 through a release wire 73 is carried out by the operation.
