PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow path where sediment is difficult to stay in the neighborhood of connection boundary of the pipe. SOLUTION: A flow path component that constitutes a flow path of the discharge liquid provided in a droplet discharge type image forming apparatus includes a first pipe and a second pipe that is connected to the first pipe in a horizontal direction at an upstream side of the first pipe. Within a range of a predetermined distance to an upstream side from a connection boundary of the first pipe and the second pipe in an inner circumferential surface facing the discharged liquid, a protruding object that locally narrows a cross-sectional area of the flow path is provided at the inner circumferential surface at upper side of the second pipe in a vertical direction. The area of the lower half when the cross section is divided in two by the position that the length from the top part in the vertical direction to the lowest part is halved is wider than the area of the upper half when the flow path is cut in the connection boundary.
