A hot air blower or heat gun has at least one impeller wheel and at least one electrical heating device, an din which the hot air blower (1) is provided for working in conjunction with a coding unit provided with a coding and joined to the blower (1). In the hot air blower (1), the heating capacity and/or the hot air temperature of the heating device is set on dependence of the given coding. An independent claim is included for a system with a hot air blower.
