<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic elevator which improves its hydraulic fluid filtering ability in short work time. <P>SOLUTION: In this hydraulic elevator 10, a car 12 is moved by a jack 202 driven by hydraulic fluid 211 supplied from a pump 212. This hydraulic elevator 10 includes a filter device 40 provided in an oil supply opening 215 sunken in the hydraulic fluid 211 inside a tank 213 connected to the pump 212. The filter device 40 includes a first filter 401 and a second filter 402. The first filter 401 filters first foreign materials in the hydraulic fluid 211.
