PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for tire vulcanization that can stop partial wear of a vulcanized tire enough, while inhibiting a fault in a vulcanization process produced by a projection for transverse groove arranged near a dividing position of a sectional mold, and to provide a pneumatic tire. SOLUTION: About the projection 3 for transverse groove which rides on a parting location PL of sectors if remaining in an original shape 3a, orientation of the projection is changed and the projected shape is changed so as not to ride on the parting location PL, and rubber biting of a green tire by the projection 3 for the transverse groove is inhibited when carrying out mold closing. About the projection 3 for transverse groove after the shape change, while setting the projection peripheral edge length L1 of an original part, and the projection peripheral edge length L2 of the part of which shape is changed, into L2/L1≤9, an area S2 of the projection 3 for transverse groove after the shape change is made into 70-120% of the area S1 of the projection 3 for transverse groove of the original shape 3a, and the change of block rigidity resulting from the transverse groove of the vulcanized tire is made small.
