PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery monitoring device capable of preventing erroneous determination of disconnection of an input line when the actual voltage of a battery module is a negative voltage.SOLUTION: When the operation of a capacitor circuit 22 is controlled so that the voltages of battery modules V1 to V4 applied to a capacitor 22 are alternately different in polarity, a microcomputer 24 determines the presence of disconnection of an input line on the basis of the polarities of the voltages of the battery modules V1 to V4 applied to the capacitor 22, and determines whether the voltages of the battery modules V1 to V4 are negative batteries when the operation of the capacitor circuit 22 is controlled so that the voltages of the battery modules V1 to V4 applied to the battery modules V1 to V4 are continuously the same in polarity. During disconnection determination, concerning the battery modules where the voltages are determined to be negative voltages in the negative voltage determination, the microcomputer 24 determines no disconnection of the input line irrespective of the polarities of the voltages applied to the capacitor 222. |
