The present invention relates to a surveillance system based on accumulated object features and a method thereof and, more specifically, to a surveillance system based on accumulated object features which enables a wide range of surveillance by accumulating and storing features about a certain object from various types of cameras and enabling continuous and linked surveillance based on the features, and a method thereof. The present invention acquires, accumulates, and stores data about feature data corresponding to an object from a plurality of cameras and identifies the same object easily from the images of the cameras facing different surveillance areas from the cameras based on the acquired data, enabling continuous tracking and guaranteeing reliability and efficiency of the system. At the same time, the present invention enables identification of the same object from images taken by each camera which has a surveillance area different from each other so that in the surveillance areas of all cameras, continuous tracking of the same object is possible. As a result, the overall surveillance area can be widened. |
