PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display quality of an image in comparison with the case that the number of gradations of density which can be taken by a display color is not adjusted.SOLUTION: A display medium-driving device 20 comprises: a voltage application part 30 which applies a density adjustment voltage including the number of unit pulses according to a density of pixels to the pixels of the display medium 10 in which particle groups 11 whose thresholds and colors for starting movement between substrates 1, 2 according to an electric field formed between the paired substrates 1, 2 at least one of which has light transmissivity are different from each other, and whose movement times for moving from one to the another of the substrates 1, 2 when intensity of the electric field is fixed are different from each other, are encapsulated; and a control part 40 which controls the voltage application part 30 so that the number of unit pulses of the density adjustment voltage to be applied to respective movement times of the particle groups 11 becomes equal to the number of unit pulses of the density adjustment voltage to be applied in the movement time of the particle group 11C with the highest threshold among the particle groups 11. |
