PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the injection performance deterioration of a cylinder injection valve due to the excessive drop of the injection pressure when injecting fuel from the cylinder injection valve for cooling an injection hole part to suppress the accumulation of deposits.SOLUTION: A fuel injection device injects fuel from a port injection valve out of the port injection valve and the cylinder injection valve when the worming-up of an engine is not completed, for example, when the engine is cooled down. It also injects the fuel from the cylinder injection valve to cool the injection hole part when the temperature of the injection hole part of the cylinder injection valve (a final injection hole temperature &thetas;fin) is not lower than a permissible temperature &thetas;t. In the fuel injection device, an injection amount (an injection pressure maintaining amount Qlow) which is determined by the minimum injection pressure of and a minimum injection time for the cylinder injection valve is a lower limit value for an injection amount at the time of cooling the injection hole part. |
