PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectrum image acquisition device and spectrum image acquisition method capable of stably and instantaneously measuring a predetermined wavelength characteristic.SOLUTION: The spectrum image acquisition device includes: an objective lens 3; a viewing field diaphragm member 8 for restricting the size of an image formed through the objective lens; a wavelength selection member 13 that is disposed on an optical axis 2 of the objective lens, has a plurality of wavelength selection surfaces, and has a different wavelength selection characteristic for each wavelength selection surface; a polarizing member 5 for polarizing each partial light flux 14 having passed through the wavelength selection surface; and an imaging lens 6 for condensing each partial light flux polarized by the polarizing member to an imaging device 7 to form an image.
